The UA horizontal and vertical logos now only have one register mark. And the vertical logo has a larger word mark. These are ready for downloading in the Logos/Fonts/Colors section of the Red Bar. Please contact lesliej@email.arizona.edu is you have any trouble downloading these.

As smart phones and technology changes, so does mobile tagging. Included in the updated guide is more information about tags, and links to Microsoft’s Tag Manager (very useful and easy to use) and their tag implementation guide.

Now you can create QR Codes in the Microsoft Tag Manager in addition to the ‘brandable’ Microsoft Tags. Just go into the Tag Manager, click on ‘create a Tag’ and select QR Code when downloading your files. The big advantage to using their Tag Manager to create QR Codes is that it will allow you to track the metrics.  Click here.

We are happy to announce a new addition to our official UA font family from the venerable type foundry, Hoefler & Frere-Jones.

Released in May 2011, Ideal Sans is an effort to restore some of the humanist design qualities often lacking in modern sans-serif typefaces. As the company says: “Setting aside the easy pursuit of digital perfection, Ideal Sans favors handmade forms that help it achieve different goals: warmth, craftsmanship, and humanity.”

The downloadable Ideal Sans zip pak includes 10 styles.

A picture might be worth a thousand words. But what price tag might you put on a thousand pictures and the stories they tell? How much does inspiration cost?  At the RedBar Café, it’s always free!

Over the past few weeks, we’ve added new albums and hundreds of new photos to the site (click on PHOTOS in the menu bar). Specifically, look at the new slice of life ‘Campus Shots’ by professional father/son team FJ Gaylor and the  “After Hours”  collection, with 19 new albums.

You might have a hard time finding a place for some of the “After Hours” photos in your next event announcement or brochure,  but that’s ok.  These are here to help you generate ideas and find inspiration. Bookmark this one for when you need to let your creative side loose.
